reaching financial goals
A savings tool that meets customers where they are; from home ownership goals to a dream vacation; users are able to save incrementally towards multiple goals and at any cadence that fits their lifestyle.
A great deal of emphasis was placed on providing users with helpful and contextual information on related banking products that they might benefit from in order to attain each goal effortlessly.
a personalized experience
A featured product list personalized to meet the user’s needs with targeted propositions.
With the “life moments” feature, the design envisions a future-state where the bank will utilize customer data –obtained through express consent– to better understand patterns and what drives the customers so the bank is able to anticipate how these needs evolve over time, and be better positioned to best serve the customer.
interacting with an offer
As part of the advanced personalization design, users are presented with a number of offers that are unique to them and their financial journey.
Shown; Quinn interacts with a mortgage offer, goes through the application but exits before submitting; at a later date Quinn is presented a reminder to complete her application.
right tool, right time
We designed the experience to surface tools and expert advice related to any specific offer –mortgage affordability & calculator in the flow shown– are presented in context to help users make quick and informed decisions regarding whatever offer they qualify for.
project outcome
There’s overwhelming buy-in, positive feedback and thoughts on areas to possibly iterate on from key stakeholders, as there’s appetite to meet immediate business objectives with some solutions proposed in the design.
building blocks
We handed the designs and research files over to another internal team focused on extracting aspects of the proposed design that would be incorporated into existing BMO products to meet short-term goals.
