Overview
I completed this project as part of a team comprising 3 other designers. Our task was simple, pick any app on the iTunes store, analyze its user experience and overall usability using a method called a “heuristic analysis”.
We decided to pick Headspace because despite its high ratings on the app store; there also was a fair amount of negative reviews from users about some of the issues they’d encountered during use, thus; my team’s heuristics evaluation on the app.
Project goal
The goal of this project was to evaluate the usability of headspace by conducting a heuristic evaluation.
Project outcome
My team’s analysis of Headspace revealed 6 major violations that Impacted the overall usability of the app.
Our analysis led to design recommendations from my team on how Headspace could improve on the user experience and task flow. Our recommendations also included the re-designs of the user interface and creation of an accompanying UI library.
